In the NADRA podcast, the spokesperson has issued an important clarification for those who do not have a B-form or birth certificate to get a National Identity Card, detailing the procedure for obtaining a computerized National Identity Card for the first time. According to NADRA spokesperson Syed Shabahat Ali, persons who have a birth certificate, but have never made a B-form, can directly apply for an ID card after completing 18 years of age. For this purpose the applicant is not required to have the original document of birth certificate, however he should know the registration number of the certificate so that NADRA can verify the record. On the other hand, those persons who have neither form B nor birth certificate, must obtain their birth certificate from the concerned institution before approaching NADRA for the first time.
