Lahore (November 2, 2026): Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the squads and detailed schedule of the 69th edition of the biggest domestic cricket tournament 'Quaid-e-Azam Trophy'. According to PCB, the tournament will start tomorrow, Tuesday, November 3. The current season of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy is divided into two parts (Gold and Silver), in which a total of 60 first-class matches will be played. In the gold event, 8 regional teams and in the silver event, 12 regional teams compete for the title. The gold tournament features a total of 8 teams including defending champions Karachi Blues, Faisalabad, Multan and FATA. The biggest and most exciting aspect of the tournament is that Pakistan's Test captain Babar Azam will represent the 'Lahore Whites' in the first round of gold. While national ODI team captain Shaheen Shah Afridi will lead the duties of 'FATA'. The opening match between Lahore Whites and FATA will be played tomorrow at the Diamond Cricket Ground in Islamabad. All the matches of the gold event should be played from November 3 to December 19. The 12 teams involved in the silver tournament have been divided into two groups. Group A consists of Lahore Blues, Rawalpindi, Larkana, Quetta, Bahawalpur and Peshawar Whites.
