Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had reached a private bank with a fake prize bond bearing a tempered number and was demanding a huge prize money of Rs. 15 lakh. When the bank staff verified and checked the prize bond as per the regulations, its serial number was found to be fake, upon which the bank staff immediately informed the police. Lari Adda police reached the spot and arrested the accused and shifted him to the police station. Police sources say that the arrested accused is not an ordinary citizen of Khan province, but he has been recorded in serious incidents like cheating and fraud at different places.
