Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema, Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb, Petroleum Minister Ali Pervez Malik, Adviser to Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah, Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani were also present in the meeting. The Prime Minister thanked the delegation for taking the path of negotiations on behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami regarding the prices of petroleum products, while the delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami expressed its stand for the abolition of petroleum levy and the relief of the people. The Prime Minister said that he is fully aware of the burden on the people due to the increase in the prices of petroleum products. The government is making diplomatic efforts to resolve the regional crisis so that the situation can return to normal. The current crisis is not related to government policies but to the increase in oil prices in view of the regional and international conditions.
