According to the details, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has allowed citizens to pay sales tax in monthly installments by simplifying the registration process of imported mobile phones through device identification registration and blocking system. The previous order of 2019 has been amended under FBR's Customs General Order No. 06 of 2026, after which eligible persons can opt to pay tax in installments while applying through Device Identification Registration and Blocking System. Under the new system, the sales tax should be divided into equal monthly installments based on the number of months remaining till the end of the financial year. The month of submission of application will also count in installments, however, the entire sales tax on mobile phones imported in June will have to be paid by the end of that month.
